2007-World's Oldest Mom

In 2005, World's Oldest Mom is a 66 years old woman, Adriana lliescu, in Romania, "It's A Girl for World's Oldest Mom" -CBS News . She was supposedly expecting triplets after undergoing IVF treatment, however, she lost the third after nine-ten week and had to undergo a c-section when the smaller of the twins died in the womb. Baby Girl, Eliza Maria was born.

In 2007, an unidentified Spanish woman gave birth to twins making her the World's New Oldest Mom at 67, one year older than Adriana lliescu. Hospital did not disclose the identity of the woman nor the gender of the twins babies.

Whats the NEWS with these woman being the World's oldest mom? Having a baby is a huge responsibility in term of financial, physical and mental aspect. It is a wonderful, challenging and exciting experience both for the parents-to-be as well as the newborn baby. At their age (60s going 70s) when most will have been too tired even after a workout in the gym, will these moms be able to provide the care, attention, time and energy for their baby? Apart from all these factors (and to put it nicely, the fact that who knows when God will call them home?), what will happen to their children? Depriving these children the time, the rights to know their parents and experience the love, care, guidance and support that they will need throughout their life..is really having a baby at these age (in the 60s) a fair and wise choice? I know of close friends who are in their early 30s who desperately want kids and tried all methods to try to conceive but failed..while for others its as easy as a snap of the finger. Sometimes, I do feel that God is unfair, but as always, who am I to question what God has in plan for each of us?

Cheerios and keep smiling!
