Stuffed baby cuttlefish

Some time back, j.t. was saying she didn't know what to do with minced meat other than making hamburgers for grilling..I remembered saying that I'll post one of the dish that I made using minced meat, Stuffed Baby Cuttlefish (sorry for the poor pic, if u can find the bb cuttlefish, its right at the bottom hehe)

Stuffed Baby Cuttlefish

Ingredients:
Baby Cuttlefish
500g Minced meat (I used pork, can be chicken too)
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp sugar
dash of sesame (to taste)
1/2 Onion, sliced
2 cloves Garlic, minced
Thai Sweet Chili Sauce (4/5 tbsp or to taste)

Method:
A. Preparing the stuffed baby cuttlefish
1. Wash and clean the baby cuttlefish
2. Marinate minced meat with salt, sugar, sesame oil
3. Stuff marinated meat in the baby cuttlefish
4. Steam the stuffed baby cuttlefish for about 20 mins or till done

I added imitation crabmeat as I have too few baby cuttlefish left :) you can even use a whole big cuttle fish, just cut it up into rings after steaming and re-arrange on plate

B. Preparing the sauce
1. Add oil, when hot, fry onion, garlic
2. Add Thai sweet chili sauce, let it heat up till hot

Pour the hot sweet chili sauce over the steamed baby cuttlefish, serve hot. Done!

simple and easy isnt it, j.t.? ;P Hope you enjoy it

Cheerios and keep smiling!
With Love from PooHBear

Btw, another thing u can do with minced meat. Try making Wonton, can make it either in soup or fried. I did that today..if u fried, can always dip in mayonaise with tomato sauce too :) Oh or u can have wonton with noodle too!

Oh yeah! great idea. Wonton! Why didn't I think of that too? I can find those wonton skins at some stores here... well, at least I thought I saw that at SuperWalMart. :)

Got to get down to some cooking next week.

P.S. Ruby, if only some dishes had a shelf life, we could post them to each other. ;)

Winnie, If you free tomorrow, ask your James Bond take a drive up McCowan North, go right on Steels Ave East, go on for about 5 to 6 miles and you will come to on the left WHITMORE FARMS. You can't miss it, big children's playground, big bales of hay for decorations outside. (Opppsite is Beare rd)
It is a HUGEST farm, real BIG, you can pluck berries, strawberries, red chillies, brinjals, durians, ha ha, just kidding...other vegetables.
Quite cheap too.
We just came back from there, my wife went to pluck one big bag of red chillies, wants to make her chiilie sambal put in bottle.
Go and have fun there, Winnie, bring your camera, millions of red tomatos too.
Let me know, okay, you have a nice day, Winnie. UL.
