First card from my nephews :)

Received a parcel from home some time back, and keep telling myself I'll share with you guys a little something in the parcel that is very 'heart warming'...but keep forgetting until my kiddo bro, put it up in his blog. Kiddo, see I have one made by Max too (with love from all our 3 nephews, Max, Zander and Caden) to "Yi Yi" (thats what they called me by - younger sister of your mommy) with some help from his mommy (that is our jie jie) :) So thank you Max and jie jie too...this little cutie is now being put up on my fridge

Hey, kiddo, mine is prettier huh :P

The other day "The One" and I called and my jie jie was getting the nephews ready to go to the zoo..I got to speak with my 2+ old nephew, Max...

Max: hello yiyi, we going zoo
Me: oh wow ure going to the zoo? what are u going to see in the zoo? Tigers?
Max: oh sure
Me: lions?
Max: oh yes
Me: are u going to see zebras too?
Max: oh yes, sure, black and white and I will count. yiyi when u coming back, go to zoo?

ahh...so sweet..I do miss the nephews, esp Max whom I used to carry, read, sing and play with. Wonder if he will still remember the times we shared when he grows up..

Cheerios and keep smiling!
With Love from PooHBear

aww... datz so sweet, in fact i just receive a home made card from my nieces and it really touched me. During Mother's Day or Father's Day I owes encourage Fatty Boy to make cards for his "aunties" or "uncles" (our close friends) as they often take him out to places when their families go out even without us. I guess living so far away from home, we need to form close bonds with friends to encourage that extended family feel that we get if we were to live at home.

Awww Winnie,
Sooo cute! And sweet of Little Max...
Psychologists and doctors say that children don't remember anything under 3 years old, because the part of the brain responsible for it is still undergoing change and growth...
So keep talking to Max, and anything you say after 3 years old, is bound to remain in him, eventhough it might be deep in the subconscious! Hey, you will be surprised with what I can remember from my childhood!
*Hugs*

Hi Winnie

When I left Malaysia, my niece was 18 months old. She was attached to me while I lived there. I made a trip home every year and each time I went home, she remembered me. It could also be due to the fact that my sister and my late mom always reminded her about me. Each time I called home, I would talk with her too. She will be 10 years old next week and these days she sends me text messages and calls me when she can.

I don't think little Max will forget you. If you keep talking to him and share your memories of him with him, he will remember. I did that with my niece.

That's a cute card, by the way. :)

Dear FH, it is always a joy to see u and am touched that you have taken the time to leave comment while ure buzy settling your personal matter. Hope that all is going well for u *hugs hugs*

it is always nice to received home made card from home, isnt it FH? gives u a fuzzy, cuddly feeling :)
I guess gal gal and boy boy are different, gal gal are more sentimental and is more comfortable showing they care while boy boy might feel that making cards are too 'girlie' thats y they are reluctant to do? hehe I guess..

it is very nice of your close friends to shower so much love on Fatty Boy too. I do agree with you that living so far away from home, we need to form close bonds with friends..reminds me of what one of our dear blogger friend, Ruby says 'friends are the relatives of today' *hugs hugs* take good care okie!
