Just for a smile
A little laugh that I had when I went to deposit a cheque in the bank...
Me: I'll like to deposit this cheque into this account no. pls
Bank Cashier: Sure ma'am, one moment. Is this your account?
Me: No, its my husband's
Bank Cashier: OK
While she was keying in the details and printing the transaction receipt, I asked,
Me: Can you let me know whats the account balance of the account too, thank you
Bank Cashier: Ma'am, is this a joint account?
Me: No
Bank Cashier: Sorry ma'am, if its not, I can't tell you the amount; although I'll like to know how much money my husband has in his account too
We both burst out laughing, she handed me the transaction receipt,
Me: Thank you, you have a good day
Bank Cashier: you have a good day too
Cheerios and keep smiling!

the bank officer is so cheerful and it's delight dealing with these types.
I agree with Nyonya. You had a delightful cashier.
Once I deposited some money in hubby's account and then asked for the balance (husband was away on business). The cashier told me that I was not allowed to see it. She will, however, send a copy of the transaction receipt by mail to our address. And then winked at me. haha
No, I don't open my hubby's mail. :)
Haha
Why we can't have such cheerful cashier over here?
Tumpang lalu PoohBear, tok to YENJAI, got ler who say dun have, when I work in bank I oso very cheerful wan.
Faster go join acct so can know how much in der acct then we go out party okay?
Hi Winnie, I too was at the bank yesterday, deposited some money. Took all of 7 minutes, handed our joint account book, she keyed it in, returned the book to me, "thank you and have a nice day". She was nice.
My wife and I keep a joint account...but I do the bookkeeping and accounting.
Keep well, Winnie, UL.
nyonyapenang, it sure is nice dealing with cheerful people :) I'm sure ur customers love to deal with u too ;)
j.t. hahaha, i think ur cashier must be facing the same situation as mine except they each offer different answer to our questions :) urs definitely give u a choice to 'peep' if u wanna hehehe
hubby and I, we open each other mails, unless its personal mail, then we wont ;) only when we want to, we will show each other those personal mails (almost all the time we do show each other) :)
yenjai, you heard FH..you just havent met that 'right' one ;)
FH, next time must leave ur name and bank and what shift u working..i'm sure all of us will only be rushing to ur counter..all the other cashier, we dun want. Who knows, ur boss might promote u faster seeing u have soo many loyal customers! :)
FH, I have access to hubby's a/c online. Just that usually, we go to the bank together and they will tell us..didnt occur to me that they wont be able to tell me the amount unless the 'account holder' is there personally too hehehe
come come, we go party and bring Uncle Lee along too..:)
Oh Uncle Lee, I was at the bank too..around 3-4pm wonder if ure there too ;)
We didnt have a joint a/c as I'm not a PR yet, the customer rep told us that that might be a problem as then it might incurr some international tax thing, i say forget it then..although hubby and I, we know very openly what we buy, how much we spend, on what etc. its an "open book a/c" for both of us :) so accounting and bookkeeping is done by both of us
That's pretty interesting. Never thought of that scenario before.
yup, neither did i Jonzz :)
Hi Winnie, I guess you and me have crossed paths many times at Woodside Sq. or Royal Bank? Or Food Basics?
Well, next time you see a 6'1" gentleman, about 195 pounds (hey, I'm not fat) wearing half tint RayBan Aviator sunglasses and parking a white Lincoln car, most probably wearing a baseball cap or Fedora (Saturdays only), thats your's truly.
And oh yes, if there's a shapely, gorgeous matured lady beside him, itu my wife, ha ha.
Have a great weekend, Winnie. UL.
I guess we did, Uncle Lee..I do my banking at TD..U like to wear baseball cap too? just like my hubby :)
you have a great weekend too Uncle Lee
