CartridgeFinder.com

Hubby and I recently bought a new Canon printer and have been printing lots of digital photos, I just realised that we will soon be running out of ink from all those printings. Jackie told me about this great cartridge finder website

They have a whole range of major brands such as Brother, Canon, HP, Epson and a Pricegrabber.com price comparison from different websites that offer the cartridges that we need; that really saves me all the trouble of having to view different website to compare prices to get me the best deal! I’m off to get some ink cartridges so that I’ll have enough ink to start printing my Christmas cards too!

Digital Cameras

Technology has progressed so fast that almost everything is going digital. Remembered those days when we will take photos using our big bulky camera, having to purchase rolls of films, always cautious about exposing the film.

Our first digital Camera is a Canon Powershot A70.We always loved Canon Cameras, always reliable, always producing high quality products. For many years, we have captured countless wonderful moments such as birthdays, weddings, birth of our nephews, holidays and graduations all with this baby. As technology advances, I’ll definitely love to own a camcorder that can be use as a digital camera too. Which one? A small, compact, nice sleek designed model such as Sanyo VPC-HD1A High definition camcorder will be nice. It has a 10X optical zoom, build in image stabilization, superfast frame rate and what I love most? It is able to simultaneously captures 5.1-megapixal images and HD movie clips, both at the same time! How cool is that? I think I should start dropping hints to my dear hubby! Happy photo takings!

Holiday Shopping Promotion

Time passes so quickly, with September coming to an end, soon October, November and December will arrive! End of the year is always filled with so many festive seasons. Thanksgiving in October, My birthday in November and Christmas, Boxing day both in December! Now is the time to start planning for shopping season, isn’t it?

Do you know that Black Friday (one day after Thanksgiving), major retailers will give discounts for their products to kick start the Christmas shopping season? I found out that on Black-Friday.net website, we are getting a preview of the offers now. Don’t have to wait till the Thanksgiving circulars to arrive before we know. I can definitely do some good planning for the gifts that I have been secretly admiring. I have been looking at some of the Best-buy deals, the prices look really attractive! Hubby has been thinking of LCD HDTV, how about Plasma TV or a Flat Panel TV; I wonder which one he will like. For myself, I will definitely love to have a camcorder. A Sony DVD camcorder sounds wonderful. My little nephews will surely love some toys at Christmas! Looking at the range of toys offered at ToysRUs deals, there are so many choices! Baby Einstein DVDs, Fisher-Price products, Disney’s products, Leapfrogs products and many more to choose from; It is so hard to make up my mind on what to buy! I’m going to have to call my sister to ask for her opinion. Happy shopping and happy saving!

Happy holidays!

Sometimes when I come home from work, feeling so tired that I just wished that I can take short breaks, even short weekend breaks will be lovely and relaxing for a quick recharge for the mind and the body.

I do love shopping, eating, enjoying the beautiful sights whenever I go for a holiday. City breaks might be just lovely too! Where better to enjoy all these with my significant other than in Europe! First stop, Paris, the world’s most romantic city; shopping, eating, drink and sharing a magical moment on top of Eiffel tower. Next we are off to Venice, taking a ride on the gondolier, exploring this beautiful floating city. Talking about beauty, how can we forget the world’s most beautiful ceiling in the Sistine Chapel of Rome! I still want to go to Barcelona, Prague and Nice too! With so many places that I want to go, I better start looking for cheap flights and holiday offers! Happy holiday!

Over 5 Free Hours of International Phone Calls!

When you are far away from home and long to hear the voices of your loved ones, making long distance overseas calls can sometimes cost a bomb! Calling card is a great option to save, but some calling card companies have hidden fees and I dislike the fact that the call will automatically cut off when the balance reaches $0. Such a disappointment when you are having a great time chatting with your loved ones.

Now with Pingo, a pre-paid calling card service, there’s no hidden fees, no nasty surprise and it’s going to be a big saving on long distance calls! Pingo offers auto recharge and callers will not be cut off due to insufficient fund in the account. If you want to know if you’re getting the best rate in town, check out the” RateWatcher” feature on Pingo. It does the job of helping to compare rates and keeping a lookout for a lower rate so that they can pass on the saving to the customers. When you sign up with Pingo, you will get a free US$5 worth of free call and that’s not all, now there is a Special phone card blog discount coupon: “ppp3” valid for $3 off Pingo, receive $25 phone card for just $17 plus when you invite your friends to share this great offer; every time that each of them signs up, you earn US$5! Great things are meant to share with friends, isn’t it? Have fun calling with Pingo!

From booking tickets, reserving hotels room, renting cars to sight seeing, the internet is my library of information. I definitely love a website that I can browse everything all on one website.

I signed up for PPP!

Whenever I see the word PPP in blogs, I always wonder, huh? What is PPP?

Looking around, blogs hopping, clicking around (thats what I like to do), I came to the home site of PPP. If you have not figure out what is this PPP that I am talking about, PPP= PayPerPost. Basically it means that for every post that you qualified and post in your blog, once approved, you will be paid depending on the offers provided. Ahhh..now does that make some sense to you?

I've been looking at something I can do at home to earn some cash. With a lot of work-at-home scams going around the internet everyday, hopefully, I can find something that really works and pass this great legitimate work at home info on to others who are looking for it or stay at home mom and dad to help them along too.

When I first told friends about this PPP, most of them were skeptical. "Are you sure it's safe?", "Is this for real? You will get PAID?" but I was given wise advices too. "Make sure you are telling the truth and don't lie for money sake"

I do hope that with these extra little cash, little by little, we'll save more and more for the bigger things in life.

One Daring Auntie's blog

I came across this blog, it is actually from a blogger, LP, who was commenting in Uncle Lee's blog and from her blog, I went to this Lao Zha Bor's blog.

She's a 68 years old artiste with Mediacorp in Singapore and I'm sure most people in Singapore will recognize her. From her comment box, she is who I think, in alot of the younger Singaporean generation's eyes, "A real lao zha bor who rocks, who is daring, who really lives her life to the fullest."

To me, she is one daring auntie. Doing that video on "Lao Zha bors Condomania" I'm sure I wont have that courage to show the world with a whole lot of blown condoms tied to me floating in that pool!

For her spirit of keeping up with time and the fact that she's living and learning, living life to the fullest. I have to applause her for that effort and attitude towards life.

internet surveys & contest

There's one interesting thing here in Canada that I discovered..that is Internet Surveys. Started as I was home and cant work, so I signed up for some Internet surveys to do surveys and so far..other than answering surveys, we also had free samples to try :) We tried new products such as cereals, DIY self popping pop corns and there's even one that offer cash incentives for sending in some 'term and conditions' of certain in-store cards that we sign up for..cool huh? ;) For each surveys that we do, most will give you 'free' entry for draws, some even offer up to $5000 in cash, who knows, next time we will win some cash from the draws!

Actually here in Canada and ALOT in USA, there are websites that allow you to use the internet to earn some incentives, coupons, cash for doing surveys, sign up or enter contests to win prizes. There has been an TV interview even with a "Contest Queen" who just keep entering contests and has won sooo many prizes (even free trips to Europe tour) that now, she even wrote a book , has a website and is doing consulting job!!! Entering contest is just a hobby for her she says geeee...:) sweet hobby hehehe

As she says, 'you cant win if you don't enter'!

Free is too expensive..OWN the internet!

Everyone's looking to earn some money from the internet, be it as an income or supplementary income. I found something pretty interesting on the net that caught my attention, "Free is too expensive..OWN THE INTERNET". Its actually a company AGLOCO that allow net-surfer (like you and me) to earn money while surfing the net.

(This is a sample email that I extracted from the AGLOCO website)

AGLOCO’s story is simple:

Do you realize how valuable you are? Advertisers, search providers and online retailers are paying billions to reach you while you surf. How much of that money are you making? NONE!
AGLOCO thinks you deserve a piece of the action.

AGLOCO collects money from those companies on behalf of its members. (For example, Google currently pays AOL 10 cents for every Google search by an AOL user. And Google still has enough profit to pay $1.6 billion dollars for YouTube, an 18-month old site full of content that YouTube’s users did not get paid for!

AGLOCO will work to get its Members their share of this and more.

AGLOCO is building a new form of online community that they call an Economic Network. They are not only paying Members their fair share, but they’re building a community that will generate the kind of fortune that YouTube. But instead of that wealth making only a few people rich, the entire community will get its share.

What's the catch? No catch - no spyware, no pop-ups and no spam - membership and software are free and AGLOCO is 100% member owned. Privacy is a core value and AGLOCO never sells or rents member information.

I reckon, what's there to lose? Its free, I don't have to do anything, Anyway, I DO SURF the net. If you will like to sign up under me (I do automatically get credit for referring you and helping to build AGLOCO), this is my link: http://www.agloco.com/r/BBBP2517

To find out more about this company, the company web link is http://www.agloco.com/
(P/S: Do note, the VIEWBAR is in testing stage, so its not available for download yet. Signing up just give you the privilege of 'be in line' till its available for downloading)

Will we all be richer after this? Only time will tell isn't it? ;)

Harrassed!!

If most of you wondered where I have been missing to from the msn and net these few days, that's because I was 'harrassed' by this very persistant virus on my computer..hahaha

Recently, my comp was 'attacked' by a very tough and persistent comp virus. "The One" and I had a 'headache' time trying to clean it out (deleting files, disk cleaning, disk fragmentation...) and even using the Norton antivirus 2007 to try to kill that virus (which didn't work!) Was getting so despondent when a friend from far away Singapore (2 in fact!), Janet and Khee liang came to the rescue! hehehehe

It was night time for them and day time for me while Janet and Khee liang tried to find out info on the virus, download anti-virus software, explain to me how to 'kill' the virus (this 'major operation' was done over the internet, this is a big challenge huh..even when I used to sit down face to face with my kiddo bro at the computer, he sometimes wishes he can 'strangle-me-to-death-on-the-spot' He has to explain to me slowly while I'll keep asking him, "why? say again? after this step, do what again?" hahaha) Khee liang even has to resort to using his hand phone to capture one by one the screen on his computer while downloading and sending me over the net, and explain to me step by step how it should be carried out. (Thanks for your patience, Khee liang)

After almost spending at least 6-7 hours, the whole morning (and night for them) on the net, Janet and Khee liang, I finally "KILLED" that hard to tackle virus! (Janet, that software that you ask me to download, it worked ;)) after scanning, downloading, follow that instructions to 'kill' it, I did a full system scan again..and showed that its 'clean' :)

I prayed hard that it is really cleaned out, this morning when I switched on the computer, HOORAY!! no more 'system alert' warning sign of the virus! it has been KILLED!!

Once again, thanks guys for all your help and despite the time difference and your busy schedules, what you have done is deeply appreciated :) Thank you!

Little Revamp to my blog

Decided to do a little revamp to my blog..change the template and did some updating of posts. Do let me know if you like this little revamp or you dislike and any other "constructive" comments will be appreciated :)

oh and by the way, just to let you guys know, sometimes when I have something to write I might not finished writing in one day (so I save them as drafts) so if you might be surprised to see 'new posts' in months when its supposed to be 'archived'...well, you know, writers block sometimes ;P hehehe

Getting better every moment

I just discovered that I'm getting a little better each time as I put to practice this Html (computer language as they called) that I'm slowly learning. I'm beginning to learn where to insert and put in Html code to link up webs and stuffs! woohoo..not bad huh..;) pretty proud of myself (considering that its self-taught though..hahaha)

To my "The One" and anyone out there as I always will say 'theres light at the end of the tunnel" just have to keep praying, work hard and I'm sure we will get somewhere.

Tips on how to keep a relationship/marriage happy:
Encouragement for each other is very important, however, most of the time the stronger of the two always gets neglected because everyone thinks he or she is tough, coping well and forgotten the fact that the stronger one needs just as much love and care too to get going. Have you shown some love and care for your other half today?
