A nice surprise from Holland....
Received this in the post....
it is always a wonderful feeling to receive something in the mail isn't it? what so special receiving a post card you asked? well, because this post card is from Pearly!
yup, our Pearly in UK; the great chef, wonderful mom and wife to her 3 beautiful children and her Derek :) Thank you Pearly, that is very sweet and thoughtful of you to take the time to select and write nice wordings on this 3D postcard and send it to Canada...it is a nice surprise :)
if you have been wondering where Pearly has been missing in action to..now you got your answer. Yup, shes in Holland with Derek :) I wont tell you more, I'm sure Pearly will be filling you guys in on her trip!

i agree with u FH, nowsaday people (me included) oso seldom send letters..remembered i used to write letters home now and then when i was studying in australia..now only email oso..
with webcam, thats less often, but I do like to use webcam, can see, and hear voices, so nice, if only can touch oso :P
oh yeah j.t. it is a nice surprise for sure! not just bills, sometimes lots of useless flyers too! :P

yup chen, i like receiving post cards, cards, letter..anything hand written is always nice :) these few weeks with the elections, we are just getting lots of election post card "vote for xxx" :P

I love letters in the post too! To me, it means a lot if someone sends me letters and cards in the postbox...
It means the person thought of you, took the time to buy the card, took even more time to pen it, and took samore time to go and post it!
But in today's email world, we seldom see cards which we can actually hold and store in a box (I do!) anymore...
All virtual...And forwarded a few hundred times...

That's a beautiful card and yes me too, it is such a treat to get such lovely surprises from the mail. Normally they are bills bills bills..ha ha. Friends connect via mail now 'cept festive season even that so many wish via mail now. Ahh..sweet Pearly. Take care.

yup daphne, i love all these and i remembered when i was in uni oversea, i hv letters all kept, from family, friends, cousins..sometimes i do dig them out to see and read and recall all those wonderful memories..
pearly is a blogger friend that i knew through blogging..her blog is just at the side and u can alway pop in and have a visit. She is a very nice lady..very sincere, "no act act", very capable i hv to add! :) shes like a sunshine :)

It is definately a lovely surprise to recieve postcard. I agree with poohbear, nowadays, it is either email, sms or phonecalls. That's a lovelyt card. I would be so please if I recieve it too. :) It is the thoughts that counts. As Pearly took the effort to remember you, wrote a message and sent it to you. Really nice.

I am so glad I make your day , I wish to send to all my friend here but huh I don't have address from everyone .. only got winnie and JT so I only can send to just the 2 of you, I got another card to get ready to send to Cath but I forgot to bring my lap top and i can't log in to check my e mail so I didn't send cath one, anyway . I am back in town now heehhe.
