The other day "The One" and I was walking along and saw something like this...
ARGHHHHHH..how can the dog owners let their dogs (or cats or whatever pets) drink the water from the public water fountain that we human used to drink water too! (This picture is pretty modest, the actual act we saw was the owner carrying the pet up onto the fountain, and the dog actually lick the tap where the water came out from) ALAMAK, want to faint when I saw that..we told ourselves, never ever are we going to drink from public water fountain in parks!
I don't know if this happens everywhere else in Canada or in any other countries too but i do know that in USA (perhaps not all, but some states) they have a pet fountain like that....
Right at the bottom, a small water fountain for the animal, isn't this more logical and hygienic?

I hace see a fountain for human , never seen one for pet also not everyway have a water founton in UK only prive place , so far I havn't see one in the park , UK everything got to pay you think there will give free water I don't think so , is pay pay pay place in UK . canada is much more better then UK , I wish I could stay in canada one day xxxx
In Malaysia, I have a "far distance" relative, she brought her dog and sat with us in the restaurant. So, can you imagine that ??? The dog was having the dinner with us... Sigh...
Goodness gracious! That is so yucky. How can people be so thoughtless and allow their pets to lick off the tap that humans drink from?
Just because they find there is nothing wrong kissing their pets on the mouth, it does not mean that the rest of the world share their sentiments.
I have yet to see those kind of drinking fountains. Maybe I don't go to parks often enough to notice it.
Yuck! how could this happen to Canada? I'm so disappointed...
Anyway, you should file a case and suit the dog owner for poluting the water source. Then the dog owner will suit the city hall for not building a water fountain for the pets... :-p
Are you able to win the court case in Canada? If in Malaysia, you will hardly could win this case... :-p

The problem, I think, is cause people treat their animals as humans, completely...There is nothing wrong in loving them like a child and giving them the best, but it is a problem when they do things which can endanger others...
Like not leashing a Rottweiler (How do you spell that?) because they say he won't hurt a fly...
This is another example...Especially for the very young and elderly, I am worried some kind of germ or something can pass...
The second pic of seperate fountains for both is cool though!

oh ok Pearly..i hvent stayed in UK before, just been there for holiday. I think all countries, there's good and there's bad :) if you do come to canada, hope you stay in toronto and we can meet up often, next door neighbour will be better! hehehe wont that be cool! :)

Im not sure if all states in USA has that, but the pet fountain picture which I took it from the web, the person mentioned that he saw it in Boston..

sue the dog owner..hmm..i never tot of that hahah. Sue the city hall to eventually build pet fountain? I think with the deficit in our city budget (i cant actually remember how many billion, might be $3 billion, the mayor and councillors are trying to give us additional taxes ie land transfer taxes and vehicle registeration taxes, u really think the city hv additional money to build pet fountain? i very much doubt it)

ure right with the spelling of Rottweiler, i guess we just need to be more totful and considerate, to think more for other people (esp the kids and elders) too.
Ur dream dog is a golden retriever? thats what my hubby loves too..he say if not, a labrador will be his next consideration. :) as for now, no pets allowed, might be if we hv a house of our own we might think about it. A pet needs a lot of attention and love too ;)
