Phone Bill and "The One" first ice-crushed smoothie
Had a "fight" with the phone company again..for billing problem..sigh..y like that. Have you guys ever encounter having one customer service rep tell u one things and the next time you call back, another customer rep tells u another things (on the same issue). You simply cant trust the words of the rep. How bad is that?!
Back home, u can go to the store and speak FACE TO FACE with the customer rep, and over here, they have only "over the phone" service. Each time u called, a different rep will answer ur queries and there's no way u can request to speak to the same rep whom you spoke to earlier (even if its just like 10-15 mins ago)!! Duh, what sort of customer service is this??
Anyway, "The One" and I went down to the store to make our payment and hopefully next month billing will be correct.
These 2 days has been sooo hot..Temperature hitting around 38oC with the humidex. Air con has been blasting, "The One" suddenly said, "lets go get a blender, can make smoothie" hahaha..Ok lah, since he is so enthusiastic about making smoothie, lets go! :)
After spending just 10 mins browsing through the different blenders in the mall, we got ourselves this 'black and decker' blender (which comes with a 'ice crasher option' :) Happily, we went home and "The One" cant wait to made us our first home made 'ice-crushed strawberry and banana smoothie' :)
Keep cool!
Cheerios and keep smiling!

Are you really in Canada or you are in Malaysia? This sound very familiar in Malaysia.
Winniethepooh, i like the picture that you selected to describe how you feel... must be very angry and piss off eh!
Awesome! you are doing your own smoothies @ home... Banana and Strawberry... one of my favor... My usual choice is berries smoothies (black, rasperry, strawberry, cranberry)... Yummy!
Im in Canada tz :) So far, only this phone company really got me standing on hair with their customer service. The others are fine. Yeah lor, I was soooo angry with the customer rep hehehe That pic look like me huh in curlers and holding a rolling pin hahaha
Hubby want to drink n since smoothie/bubble tea are expensive here, one medium size cup cost $5+ (after taxes) and esp those fresh fruit juices...rather buy the fruits and make it ourselves than to pay so much for one. Back home in Sg, the most I paid for fresh fruit juices is probably $1.50 for a cup of mixed fruits juices :P
yummy, berries smoothies sounds soo healthy, full of antioxidant. Very good tz!! :)
Am imagining you looking exactly like in the picture, going over to the phone company... phone bill in one hand and a rolling pin in the other...
Go knock 'em Winnie!!
Hi Winnie,
I agree with TZ, this incident of yours sounds so much like Malaysia lah. I never like this phone service enquiry thingy!! Most of the times I have to wait for ages with all the silly instructions press this and that...hmm...making our phone bills huge all in all!
Nevrmind lah...I need to cool down too now...,so my dear can I have a smoothie too...hmm..yummy!!!
My dear, thank you for being so supportive, even now your neck is stretched to a giraffe length and you are still hanging in there for me, whilst me in hiatus, I am truly touched. Hugs...
Haha
At least the machine got you to keep it alive
Hi Winnie,
Its a surprise. I never encountered Canadians to be so Uncustomer friendly. Never encountered that when I was there. I used to live in Toronto (Dawse Rd) then moved to Guelgh and on to Montreal. Where are you in Toronto?
hahahaa....**laughing out loud at Pi Bani's comment...**
okie...okie...no need so angry lar...cool down with some yummylicious iced smoothies... :)
haha Pi Bani..tat pic is so funni huh :P Why will i need someone to do my a/c if i have to check through everything again (might as well they pay me to do my own a/c) heheeh Am not going to pay for whatever they bill wrongly..I think we did give them a good 'roll' hahaha
Ruby, thanks for dropping by during your 'break', very sweet of u :)
I know what u mean with that if english, press 1, if for cell phone press 2..arghhh! Esp when they transfer u to this rep and that rep and each time they will ask for the ur name, ur dob, ur hp no..again and again. Already frustrated and still hv to repeat and repeat..alamak, really volcano wanna erupt. Lucky the customer service phone no. is free..if they charge me for this, i think i'll need 2 rolling pins then hahaha
Definitely Ruby, *pour pour smoothie* there u go..nice and cool huh :)
Ure most welcome. :) i do enjoy reading the blog postings from all of u, always enjoyable, always thought provoking..so worth while to do a bit of neck stretching lah hehehe :) U have a good break and we'll await patiently for u to return okie *hugs hugs*
yenjai bro..i wonder sometime who invented those press 1, press 2, press 3 machines! if i know sure hit hit them with 2 rolling pins hehehe :P
Hi Tony SUP, thanks for dropping by :)
It is not often that I encountered such bad customer unfriendly system. I have encountered really nice ones too of course (just like the bank customer service that i blog about sometime back). So far, only this particular phone company got my blood pressure pumping really high hehehe
I'm in the Scarbrough area in Toronto.
nyonyapenang, dont worry I've already cool down with the yummy-licious smoothie hehe
lets hope next month no more mistake if not, i think need 2/3 rolling pins hahahha
u hv a great day nyonyapenang!
Hi Winnie
I dislike having to deal with different service reps each time. It is fine if the problem is solved but when they give the run around, my patience is tested.
On to smoothies, I love making them at home. I have never tried banana-strawberry. A good tip. Thanks!
My favourite is chocolate-banana. Now, I'm thinking I should also try what TZ takes - berries. yummy!
First meatball and now smoothies? You sure do know how to make me drool, Winnie!
ure absolutely right j.t..i go arghhh esp when going round and round with customer service rep. volcano waiting to erupt hahaha
oh chocolate and banana, I hvent try that combination. Might try it. thanks :) The one that tz has, the berry comb that is always yummy and full of antioxidants! :) If u were to try the banana strawberry, just a tip, make sure the banana is ripe, it will give u a nicer flavour and taste :)
cheers!
hehehe trueblue :P *give trueblue a cup of smoothie too*
Cheers and u hv a great week ahead okie! :)
Ruby, tell me about it ... i never like to deal with the phone company in Malaysia... :-)
Winniethepooh, that's what i wonder how come the customer service in Canada degrade. I still remember Canada has a good customers service when i was there 12 years ago.
BTW, how long do you wait before they transfer you to the customers rep? In Malaysia, we normally have to listen to this message "Sorry, our representative is busy right now. You will be transfer to the representative shortly" (don't know how many times) How short is "shortly"... you guess? :-p
Thanks for the tip, Winnie. It does make sense... which I never used in the past. hahaha
I see brown on the banana skin and I takut to eat. :D
hi dear
I am totaly agree with you , the next time you face this you ask them 'can you really help me if you can't please pass me to speak to the one on top of you who can have the power cos I don't want to pass around '.
I face this problem once with my handphone and the rep is so rude to me , I am nearly on fire to the point will give him lot of F@@@@@@@'wateven , so the end I say I wish to speak to the boss of your and everything had done hehehheh.
look those lovely smoothies can I have some is HOT here too xxxxxxx
TZ, Most of the time when u come face to face with customers service such as in retail, they are nice..I'm not sure how things are long time ago here in Canada..this is not the first time that we had problem with the phone company over billing.
One thing good with them is when they transfer you to the customers rep it doesnt take long.
When we pointing out to one rep, we hv xxx mins that we can share with our couple plan and she say, "no, u only hv yyy mins" we have to explain, see this is our plan, look at page 3 of 8 of my bill and u see, a+b+c mins, we get xxx mins. then she goes..'oh, yeah...' Alamak..*slap forehead*
ure welcome j.t. :) now u know a good way to use the slightly over-ripen bananas ;)
have a great day j.t!
Pearly back from vocation? :) hope you had a great time at devon
The first time we had this problem, after speaking with the rep, we did get to speak to the supervisor who was able to help solve the problem. For 3-4 months the billings are all coming in correctly..then it happen again this month!! Argghhh..anyway now this month is settled, we shall see the billing for next month.
*keeping fingers crossed* I dun like to take rolling pin and with my curly hair go around 'frying' people right..but what to do?
Definitely Pearly can hv some *pour pour* there u go, pearly :)
Have a great week ahead!
Hi Winnie, would you believe I have never had a 'smoothie'? I guess I'll just stick to my iced coffee. Never tried yogurt too.
Yes, weather hot.
Hey, next time when talking to these people, quickly ask their names and extension numbers.
Funny to hear you had this problem? I had once...my fault, the envelope had fallen under my car seat and I never paid waiting for the bill to arrive, ha ha. Somemore argue with them too.
Oh well, bound to be some funny apples around. You be cool, Winnie. UL.
Uncle lee, really? I guess u might have to like drinking milk/ eat dairy product if you like smoothies? :) 007 likes his yoghurt esp when he eats curry or with briyani :)
Every time that I talked to these people, i always asked for their name and their employee # (so that I can say, "ur colleague XXX, employee #123, told me this when and when (i even take note of the date and time that I spoke with them). the thing is, they DONT have an extension number (this is something i can never understand why they do not have)
hehe Uncle Lee, i like what u say 'funny apples around' :)
u have a great day Uncle Lee!
After reading everything, I'm just admiring the very red strawberries. LOL!
hahaha jonzz, the strawberries are the most attractive huh ;) and btw, they taste yummy too
